About The Position The Learn to Swim Instructor is responsible for delivering swim programs that cater to diverse groups within the community. This role involves teaching swimming skills, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, monitoring pool facilities for hazards, providing first aid, performing custodial duties, handling public relations, and any additional duties as required. The position requires weekend and holiday work and may occur at Muswellbrook or Denman facilities. Key Responsibilities Conduct swimming lessons as per the Swim Program to achieve shortterm and longterm outcomes. Facilitate the skill development of swimmers with a range of skill levels to achieve performance outcomes. Promote the importance of swimming and water safety through the Learn to Swim program to our diverse community members. Undertake accurate cash receipting for pool entry fees and perform administration data entry and record keeping. Assist in the setup of pools for Swim School(s), Aqua Fitness classes and other events. Conduct rostered pool water tests and pool maintenance. Identify and respond to emergencies, providing first aid as required and completing necessary reports. About You Current Working with Children Check. Current CPR and/or First Aid Certificate. Program Certification such as: Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and/or Fitness Instructor Cert III or Higher (desirable). Current Lifeguard Certificate (desirable). Statement of Attainment in Aquatic Technical Operator (desirable). Demonstrated ability to deliver highquality customer service. We Offer Casual position with an hourly rate from $38.03$42.72 per hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation.
