Men''s Shed Workshop Coordinator Doncaster Permanent parttime (0.8 EFT), 30 hours per week (Monday to Thursday) based in Doncaster. About The Opportunity The Manningham Mens Shed is a wellestablished and wellequipped Mens Shed that offers a wide range of activities. The Shed provides an opportunity for men to socialise, learn and pass on skills. This coordinator position will manage daytoday operations, engage participants, ensure safety, maintain equipment and comply with quality standards and funding requirements. What You Will Be Doing Develop and manage programs and activities that respond to the needs of the local community. Evaluate programs and undertake community consultation to ensure relevance and support community development principles. Supervise and support program facilitators to ensure smooth running of the Shed. Recruit, train and supervise volunteers in line with AccessHC policy. Support participants to enable full participation in Shed activities. Provide regular reports to the Senior Manager, Community. Work with the Senior Manager to manage programs within budget. Develop and monitor goaldirected activities with participants and carers, promoting achievement and belonging. Create an inclusive environment that promotes the Mens Shed and AccessHC values. Ensure compliance with the Mens Shed programme guidelines and relevant legislation. Maintain a safe environment, ensuring equipment is used correctly. Transport participants when required using an 11seater bus. What You Will Bring Certificate 111 in Aged Care, Disability or another relevant field. Experience working with older people and/or people with disabilities. Excellent handyman or tradesperson skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work in a team environment. Compliance Requirements National Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check. Level2 First Aid. Current CPR Certification. Evidence of right to work in Australia and a valid Drivers Licence. Attributes we value Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
