Cardiac ECHO Sonographer Job Overview Cardiac ECHO Sonographer position at Calvary Mater Newcastle, Department of Cardiology. This is a fixedterm, parttime role (24 hours per week) for up to 12 months. Key Responsibilities Provide safe, effective, patientcentred care within a collaborative healthcare environment. Perform cardiac echocardiograms on inpatient and outpatient populations using advanced ultrasound technology. Generate interim reports of imaging findings. Effectively communicate emergency findings to the Director of Cardiology or oncall cardiologist. Collaborate with the cardiology team to deliver highquality care. Qualifications and Experience Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) or equivalent. Current ASAR (Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry) accreditation as a fully qualified sonographer. Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent (award). Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiographic studies and report findings. Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to transcribe data accurately. Australian citizen, permanent resident or visa with unlimited rights to work in Australia. Successful completion of preemployment checks (reference checks, work rights, criminal history, WWCC). Evidence of immunisation as required for the role.
