School Finance Officer Position: 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week), 4445 weeks per year. Commencing: Negotiated, no later than 12 January 2026. St Joseph''s School seeks an accounting professional for an onsite, handson role. You will collaborate closely with the principal, leadership team, school board and community, ensuring the integrity of the school''s finance functions. Responsibilities Manage the school''s budget, forecasting and financial reporting. Oversee cash flow, audit processes and payroll. Ensure timely payment of accounts and school fees. Maintain effective interfaces between administrative staff, teaching staff and the broader school community. Liaise with external stakeholders and contribute to strategic financial planning. Adhere to all relevant WH&S requirements and Catholic ethos principles. Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in accounting, financial management or related field. Experience in a management or financial accounting role, including payroll, accounts, budgeting, GST, financial analysis and capital works/facilities management. Strong numeracy, analytical and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to engage with people and groups at all levels. Relevant accounting qualifications preferred. Ability to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues. Practical support for the Catholic ethos of the school. Additional Requirements Police Clearance to work in Catholic Education SA, including a Working with Children Check. Mandatory Notification training and DCSI screening. Reporting Abuse and Neglect Training (7 hours) plus updates. HLTAID012 First Aid certification for an Education and Care Setting. Completion of the Applicant Declaration Form (see link below).
