About the Role In this newly created role, youll be at the forefront of driving transformative change across our operations. Your ability to analyse complex challenges, engage teams on the ground, and turn insights into action will be crucial as we look to set new benchmarks in Australian agriculture. With a focus on both immediate wins and long-term sustainability, youll help ensure Altora Ag remains a leader in the industry. As our Business Efficiency, Innovation & Growth Manager, youll play a pivotal role in transforming how we farm embedding smarter systems, data-driven decision-making, and sustainable growth strategies that deliver stronger yields, lower costs, and lasting impact. This role reports to our General Manager of Farming. This newly created position will suit a true all-rounder someone who combines handson farming experience with commercial and analytical insight. Youll work closely with Aggregation Managers, Agronomists, our Post Farm Gate Business as well as our support functions to: Lead our Aggregation Managers to drive excellence across cropping programs, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. Identify and implement innovations that improve productivity from lean farming and precision agtech to process automation and data integration. Drive capital investment planning, business case development, and operational benchmarking (cost per hectare, yield per tonne, labour efficiency). Partner with key internal teams from Grain Trading to Fertiliser & Chemical supply to optimise results across the full cropping lifecycle. Build frameworks to measure the impact of innovation and continuous improvement across safety, sustainability, and performance outcomes. About You Youre curious, commercially minded, and thrive in complex agricultural environments. Youll bring a mix of technical and strategic skills, such as: Proven leadership experience across large-scale grain or mixed cropping operations. Solid understanding of agronomy, budgeting, and business analysis. Confidence with technology precision ag tools, digital platforms, and data-driven systems. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A proactive mindset and the ability to turn insights into operational improvement. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related discipline are ideal for this role and experience in Agri Technology, AI, WHS, sustainability frameworks, or environmental compliance is highly regarded.
