What Youll Be Doing Provide community and/or hospitalbased services such as advocacy, support, liaison and health promotion. Communicate with and facilitate access to other government and nongovernment organisations, including support services, to meet social, emotional and cultural needs of patients/clients. Deliver flexible, holistic, culturally sensitive health services to Aboriginal clients, inpatients and the community. Provide direct clinical services as defined by the scope of practice for the local community. Work with Aboriginal and nonAboriginal staff to develop and implement programs and strategies to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal individuals and communities. Act as cultural brokers between Aboriginal patients and the hospital system, working within a collaborative team that supports a culture of support. Criteria Must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent (Section 14 of the AntiDiscrimination Act 1977). NSW Working with Children Check. NSW Driver Licence with willingness to travel for work purposes. Health Practitioner AHPRA registration. Certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice).
