Assistant Nurse Unit Manager - Theatre Join to apply for the Assistant Nurse Unit Manager - Theatre role at Nexus Hospitals We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Nurse Unit Manager with experience in theatre to join our clinical team on a full time basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster, with occasional Saturday shifts. Duties and responsibilities: This role provides support to the Hospital Management Team and manages the perioperative department through leadership, mentoring and clinical governance to ensure effective operation of the hospital. Deliver hospital outcomes in clinical aspects, quality improvement, administration and leadership Manage labour and consumable costs Comply with the Infection Prevention & Control Program and NSQHS Standards Support nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care Ensure that patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery About You: You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have: Solid experience in a comparable leadership role (theatre / perioperative setting preferred) Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar Experience as a scrub scout Current AHPRA registration Experience with Quality Improvement activities, Infection Control Management and Accreditation processes A background in private day hospitals preferred Culture and Benefits: Monday to Friday roster, no on call shifts 12 weeks paid parental leave for eligible employees Up to $2000 employee referral bonus Great discounts at a large variety of retailers including Coles & Woolworths Focus on health and wellbeing (inc.
