OverviewSenior Lawyers. Prepare and conduct high-profile enforcement action, including civil litigation, criminal prosecutions and administrative action. Use your legal skills to make a positive difference for investors and consumers in the Australian financial system.ResponsibilitiesStrategically plan, scope, manage and direct complex investigations within multi-disciplinary teams.Take a leading role in conducting and supporting enforcement action including civil litigation, criminal prosecutions and/or administrative action.Identify and advise on legal issues arising during investigations and litigation, including evidence, remedies and the exercise of ASIC''s statutory powers.Gather evidence through compulsory notices and examinations, interviews and search warrants, and prepare and settle witness statements and affidavits.Coach and mentor less experienced staff.Qualifications / ExperienceLegal qualifications and a current practising certificate.Significant, senior experience in conducting civil or criminal litigation (Investigations roles).Significant, senior experience in industries regulated by ASIC including superannuation, insurance, credit, banking, wealth management/financial advisory or insolvency (EIC roles).Familiarity with the laws administered by ASIC, such as the Corporations Act, the National Consumer Credit regime and the ASIC Act.Demonstrated ability to use e-discovery tools to review, interrogate and manage large data volumes.Highly developed written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience in guiding and coaching other team members.About YouAs the ideal candidate you will be inquisitive, have an analytical mind set and be comfortable working with complex information in a changing environment.
