About the Program Australia has all the resources it needs to make the shift to clean, renewable energy. Yet, the shift isnt happening at the pace and scale required to solve the climate crisis and the benefits are not yet flowing to those most affected by the transformation. Renew Australia For All is a new, people-powered collaboration backed by unions, social services, environment and climate organisations and clean industry. About You You are a seasoned campaigner and strategist with a strong record of leading impactful campaigns. You have a record of developing and implementing strategies that achieve real-world outcomes, adeptly turning ideas into collaborative, effective actions. With deep knowledge of politics, policy, and strategy, you enhance your work with a keen sense of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion. You know how to spot a great campaign opportunity. You enjoy making connections between others, matchmaking campaign opportunities with the people who would be perfect to work on them. Your interpersonal communication skills are impeccable. You have a knack for building strong, trusting relationships in the midst of a busy campaign. Youre a great sounding board, and love mentoring people to play to their strengths and realise their potential. Working with diverse groups is your natural habitat, and youre up for working with a room of CEOs one day and a room of grassroots campaigners the next. About the Role The Senior Campaigner is a highly experienced leader, and is proficient in analysis, facilitation, management, and campaign skills. This highly collaborative role entails cocreating campaign strategies, driving campaign implementation, establishing priorities, and building and maintaining relationships with partners and key actors across the ecosystem. In this 12month period, the intended top priority for the Senior Campaigner will be the Repower homes, transport and communities pillar of Renew Australia for Alls platform. They will engage closely with a diverse group of individuals and organisations to align interests and work towards common goals. They will ensure the collaboration achieves outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone including by ensuring campaign moments are seized, individuals are supported, and working groups are effective. Key Responsibilities Leads on the development and implementation of highimpact campaign strategies and tactics to achieve our programmatic goals and objectiveskey results. Sources, builds and maintains strategic relationships with key partners, facilitating collaborative efforts to codevelop and implement strategies, grow the campaign and ensure the campaigns success. Provides strategic analysis to movement partners and advocates that achieves alignment and develops confidence, including political insights or data on how the campaign is progressing. Drives and facilitates inclusive and transparent strategic decisionmaking processes, including campaign evaluation and impact reporting. Develops and implements strategic campaigns, tactics, training and campaign proposals in accordance with our values and justice, equity, diversity and inclusion commitments. Drafts key campaign materials, including website copy, campaign toolkits, online content, slide decks for events and calls. Identifies and mitigates risks and meets compliance obligations related to campaign activities. May manage channels, budgets, and contractors responsible for digital platforms, media relations, or complex research and analysis. Required skills, knowledge and experience Advanced level campaigning experience in a similar or related role including unpaid, grassroots or lived experience; A strong grasp of campaign strategy, system thinking and the ability to articulate strategies in a clear and compelling way; A collaborative mindset and a proven ability to work effectively in alliance with diverse stakeholders; Ability to learn and work through complexity quickly and stay abreast of shifting impacts on our campaign strategies. Excellent interpersonal communication, relationshipbuilding, and group facilitation skills, including strong verbal and written English; Ability to perform in a highpaced environment; A passion for taking action on climate change and a deep commitment to social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion. Desirable skills, knowledge and experience Experience working in a campaigning or social movement organisation. Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the shift from fossil fuels to clean energy. Visual communication skills relating to presenting campaign information in campaign presentations and documents. Ability to manage and support team members and/or contractors, including performance management, nurturing growth, and fostering a leadership culture.
