As a Social Support Volunteer with CTST, you can: visit someone in their home to help ease loneliness by sharing a cuppa and a chat take individuals out to social events of their choice to build community connections help someone to do their shopping and maintain their independence provide respite for a carer Giving your time and energy to help others strengthens our community bonds and highlights the importance of volunteerism to others in building a compassionate and resilient society. Youll volunteer in a friendly and supportive team environment with access to ongoing training including courses like first aid and driver education. Location Devonport TAS, Latrobe TAS, Ulverstone TAS Time required Regular - more than 6 months Days: Weekdays Times: Mornings, Afternoons Volunteer during the week (no weekend work); hours can vary and we can tailor to your availability Training We have an award-winning induction program with regular opportunities and ongoing training (e.g., first aid).
