About The Role As a Governance Information Assistant, you will provide support to Council''s Governance section and assist with maintaining systems, records and registers. You will receive on the job training whilst completing your Certificate III in Records and Information Management. Your Responsibilities Will Include Adhering to the training requirements, handing in assignments on time, and sitting for exams in accordance with the registered training organisations timetable. Providing effective and co-operative communication across departments. Gathering and processing documents for Government information applications. Providing secretarial support to Council Meetings in the form of publishing and distributing business papers and taking minutes at meetings. Assisting with the maintenance of the disclosure of interests, gifts and benefits and designated persons registers. For further information on the role, please see the attached position description. You will be paid in accordance with the Traineeship pay scale as outline in the Local Government (State) Award 2023 plus superannuation. About You We are seeking a motivated individual that flourishes in a fast paced environment, who is adaptable, willing to learn and demonstrates the ability to draft correspondence with sharp attention to detail. As The Governance Information Assistant Trainee You Will Possess Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn new skills and undertake formal training. Ability to exercise and maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat (or similar). Ability to build effective relationships. A commitment to workplace safety. Hold (or be willing to obtain) a NSW Class C Manual Drivers Licence.
