Warehouse Team Member I General Purpose: Oversees activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies, and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation. The Warehouse Team Member I is highly knowledgeable in receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations. They are responsible for physically and systematically processing inventory and accurately supporting internal customers. Responsibilities Depending on the assigned department, perform tasks in shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations. Adhere to all processes with little to no supervision. Communicate to leadership and internal stakeholders when deviation of the standard process occurs and propose solutions to correct the process. Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non-palletized materials using assigned equipment. Perform basic transactions in SAP and troubleshoot common errors to maintain accurate and timely inventory data. Internally certified to inspect rigging materials. Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within assigned work area. Other responsibilities as assigned. Essential Functions Stand for long periods of time. Climb stairs or ladders and work off step stools and ladders. Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend frequently. Grip and manipulate items such as hand tools and turbine parts, often with repetitive motion. See and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions; color differentiation may be required. Adapt to a changing environment and demonstrate Vestas Core Values. Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts. Operate all equipment safely according to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Set a good example of personal integrity. Learn and interpret instructions and translate them into work. Work both individually and as a member of a team. Education, Training, and Skills Required 1 year of experience in a general warehouse, distribution center, or production environment. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices, and procedures preferred. Experience operating a forklift and reach truck preferred. Experience working within SAP preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution. Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic drawings, schematics, and process documents. Basic computer literacy and beginner level understanding of Microsoft Office preferred.
