This is an excellent opportunity to launch your career in the mechanical trades industry. You will gain handson experience in maintaining, servicing, diagnosing and repairing the Councils plant and automotive fleet, while working towards a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology. Travel to Canberra is required to attend weekly or block release training as part of the apprenticeship. Moruya, New South Wales The starting salary for this position is $1,391.57 plus 12% superannuation and is dependent on the age of the employee on commencement. About You You have a minimum Year 10 certificate or equivalent and a strong interest in mechanical trades with a willingness to learn. Youre enthusiastic about pursuing a career in mechanical trades and have a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment. You Also Bring Commitment to completing all components of the apprenticeship, including CIT and additional training. Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a variety of environments, including confined spaces and areas affected by waste. Basic literacy, numeracy and computer skills. A teamfocused attitude with good interpersonal and communication skills. Physical fitness to perform labouring tasks and operate equipment. What We Offer 35 hours per week for administrative staff and 38 hours per week for operational staff.
