Group Activities enhance the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of participants and encourage people to engage with other. The aim of the program is to empower individuals to build new contacts and networks creating a better quality of life. As part of the Community Care Team, the Group Activity Assistant key responsibilities include: Assisting with developing, organising and facilitating a range of client social support activities; Promoting services in the region to ensure ongoing program viability; Undertaking relevant administrative and data entry as per organisational procedures including development and distribution of activity calendars; and Undertaking risk assessment of facilities to ensure suitability and safety for service provision. Qualifications and Experience Demonstrated experience in organising events or group activities Food safety A current QLD Drivers Licence (Desirable) Certificate III in Individual Support or similar Core Competencies Sound numeracy, written and verbal communication skills relevant to the role, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders; Ability to build rapport and positive relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect for individual needs; Demonstrated commitment to safety and risk management, including following established procedures, conducting risk assessments and ensuring the wellbeing of clients during activities; Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to shared goals; High level of organisational and time management skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities; Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to adjust to the changing needs of clients, programs, and the organisation; Sound level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, corporate systems and standard office technology.
