About The Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and experienced Librarian to join our Community Learning team on a permanent, part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality information services that support lifelong learning and community engagement. In this role, you will report to the Coordinator Community Learning, and play a key part in: Providing accurate, up-to-date information tailored to customer needs Designing and delivering engaging library programs Collaborating effectively within a supportive team environment Leveraging current technologies to enhance service delivery Championing innovation and excellence in customer service. Essential Qualifications and experience Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Eligible for professional membership of ALIA Suitable Library experience Demonstrated strong commitment to a customer focused service Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proven excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and independently Proficient user of online and electronic resources including databases Demonstrated experience, skill and ability to initiate, plan, deliver and evaluate programs, including training programs Current class C drivers licence Working with Children Check (WWCC) Desirable Experience with stakeholder liaison Training skills and experience First aid certification Ability to speak a relevant community language. Remuneration And Benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Councils Enterprise Agreement.
