Join to apply for the Community Activities Organiser role at Alzheimer Scotland 4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Contract: 1x part-time position, 17.5 hours per week, initially until March 2026 with extension dependent on funding Location: Clydebank Resource Centre, 6-8 Miller Street, Clydebank, G81 1UQ Who We Are Alzheimer Scotland is Scotlands national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families; we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research. What Youll Do Supporting individuals to stay connected to their local communities, engage in their interests and hobbies, and access peer support. Developing ideas and leading the way towards exciting and new activities to promote brain health. Planning and delivering all community-based activities, ensuring reflective practice through activity evaluations and feedback from the people we support. What Youll Have Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia and brain health, a passion to make a difference, good communication and computer skills, a caring attitude and enthusiasm for the role. Applicants should be confident in planning activities in advance and leading any volunteers supporting at their group. Requirements Applicants must have a full and valid driving licence and a vehicle to be able to travel for this role (mileage and expenses are paid). The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of right to work in the UK and will also be subject to a PVG check through Disclosure Scotland.
