15th September start date for 6-8 weeks. Return flights covered and FREE accommodation. Great feedback from current locums!ResponsibilitiesExperienced Social Worker required for this NT service. This is a remote 60 bed hospital. The service requires high level skills as a sole Social Worker and demonstrated cultural competence working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.Provide social work services across inpatient settings including ED, acute wards general medical, surgical, palliative care, rehabilitation, maternity and paediatrics.Demonstrate strong crisis response skills and experience with victims of domestic and sexual violence.Engage in guardianship, advocacy and NDIS applications as part of the role.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Directors, Team Leaders, SWs, DTs, OTs, PTs, SPs, AHAs, ALOs and Admin staff.Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts, on call and 1pm-10pm shifts.QualificationsExperience providing social work services within a hospital setting (Emergency Department), including crisis intervention and short term support.Strong knowledge and experience in domestic and family violence risk assessment, safety planning and support services.Experience working with child protection concerns, including mandatory reporting requirements and liaising with relevant agencies.You must have relevant experience.This role requires you to be eligible for AASW membership. Overseas trained Social Workers, please do not respond unless your qualifications have been assessed by the AASW.Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts, on call and 1pm-10pm shifts.BenefitsReturn flights reimbursed and free accommodation for locums.
