About the Role As a Field Maintenance Fitter at Daunia Mine, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of field mining equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. You will work in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with site personnel to achieve safety and performance targets. What Youll Do Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on field mining equipment, including excavators, rope shovels, and ancillary machinery. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimise downtime. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and contribute to a strong safety culture. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status. Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and other team members to prioritise tasks and allocate resources effectively. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including environmental and safety standards. What Youll Bring Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Heavy Diesel Fitting. Proven experience in a mining maintenance environment (minimum 2 years), particularly with mobile mining equipment. Experience with Caterpillar 6040/6060 & Hitachi 3600/5600 excavators 6040/6060, Caterpillar 7495 shovel and D10 & D11 dozers highly regarded. Experience with computerbased maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) is essential. Ability to work under pressure in highintensity environments and manage competing priorities. Why Whitehaven Coal?
