About the Opportunity This is a permanent, fulltime position suited to qualified graduates (Diploma or Degree) or experienced industry professionals seeking to build a longterm career in Integrated Pest Management (IPM). As an IPM Technician, you will spend much of your time visiting clients across Victoria to monitor pest and beneficial insect activity, assess the effectiveness of management programs, and provide practical, datadriven recommendations. Occasional regional travel, weekend work, or publicholiday availability may be required during peak growing periods. About You You are a motivated, curious, and relationshipfocused professional who thrives in outdoor, handson environments. Typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Monitor pest, beneficial insect, and disease levels in horticultural crops. Organise beneficial insect orders and coordinate with distributors, growers, and WA/SA offices. Prepare detailed monitoring reports and follow up with growers to resolve issues. Assist in controlled breeding and rearing experiments for beneficial species. Deliver beneficials to growers and demonstrate correct release and monitoring methods. Collect crop samples for laboratory analysis and prepare them for dispatch. Support growers in developing improved planting and pestmanagement techniques. Build trusted relationships with growers through advice and technical support. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: A Diploma or Degree in Entomology, Biological Science, Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field; or have at least 2 years equivalent experience in horticulture, agriculture or nursery environment. Knowledge of pest and beneficial insect biology and life cycles. The ability to work independently, manage your schedule, and meet reporting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness to work outdoors and in greenhouse conditions yearround. A genuine interest in advancing sustainable growing and integrated pest management practices.
