Job Description

Are you a self-motivated and experienced Executive Assistant with outstanding organisational, communication and computer skills?Based in the General Managers unit, the role of Mayors Assistant is to provide effective and efficient administrative support to the Mayor, Councillors, and the General Manager. You will need to be flexible and proactive and able to work under pressure in a challenging and stimulating work environment to ensure deadlines are met.This position will require some out of hours work.Key RequirementsCertificate IV in Office Administration or equivalentTyping speed of 60 words per minuteExecutive secretarial experienceProficiency in the operation of various computer packagesAbility to work in a confidential and political environmentExperience in updating and maintaining databases and registersGeneral clerical skills e.g. filing, record keepingExcellent organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThis position requires a preemployment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.Salary: $1,349.60 to $1,417.96 per week + 12% superHours of work: 35 hours per week with an RDO every third weekContact Officer: Aimee Ford 02 6333 6201Bathurst Regional Council is committed to being a flexible, safe, equal and inclusive workplace where diversity is embraced and supported.
