The Opportunity As a Customer Service Officer, you''ll be the first point of contact for the community, helping people in person, over the phone, and online with accurate and timely support. You''ll handle payments, assist with library services, manage bookings, and keep public spaces welcoming and well-presented. You''ll support service centres, assist with payments and library tasks, and help customers get what they need quickly and accurately. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate, timely service across centres, call centre and online channels Resolve customer queries at first contact using Council systems and databases Handle payments, perform endofday balancing and prepare banking reports Support library services including shelving, circulation and program delivery Maintain professional presentation of reception and public display areas Assist with bookings, facility maintenance and general administrative tasks This is a casual position with no set hours, offering flexibility and variety in your work. Things You''re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria) Minimum 2 years'' experience in a customer service industry Experience in a call centre or highvolume phone operations To have a passion to deliver the best service with a focus on delivering high resolution at the first point. Use initiative and problemsolving techniques for the best customer and business outcomes. Excellent numeracy, cash handling, balancing and end of day banking experience. Welldeveloped knowledge of the East Gippsland Shire, region and/ or services. Excellent keyboard skills and experience with Microsoft software; Internet; and database products. If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and hold a current and valid employee Working with Children Check. You must have a current, valid Victorian drivers'' license and be legally entitled to work in Australia.
