Together we can do more.The Pharmacy Assistant is a vital role within the Pharmacy team. The position includes all aspects of hospital pharmacy responsibilities including dispensing, sterile and non-sterile manufacturing including cytotoxic products, ward stock supply, distributions, stock supply, reception and administration duties, pre packing and stock control.This position will include the participation in the weekend and public holiday roster and may require work at other pharmacy departments within the LHD.Wollongong Hospital , located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhavens major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.Wollongong is located an hours drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west.
