What You Will Be Doing As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will collect blood and coordinate specimen samples from patients, delivering great customer service and quality healthcare. Your key responsibilities will include: Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers What Type of Person Will Be Successful We seek an experienced Pathology Collector, or someone with a CertIII in Pathology Collection, or a Registered Nurse looking to move to regular daytime shifts. Applicants with no experience but a customer service focus and a healthcare background are welcomed; we offer fully paid training and mentoring. Attributes & Skills Demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy, CertificateIII in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background Excellent customer service and communication skills with high empathy Organised with strong timemanagement and attention to detail Ability to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic setting Valid drivers licence and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics Holding or willingness to obtain a Working with Childrens Check Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen, or holding a valid visa with permission to work Vaccines required HepatitisB; other vaccinations may be required based on location.
