About The Role SBP Australia is looking for a proactive and experienced HSEQ Coordinator to support site and project leadership in ensuring workplace health and safety, environmental and QA compliance, based on site in Bendigo, Victoria. Hours of work are flexible, at a minimum must be 6.30am to 1pm MonFri on site, for the duration of the project (nominally 69 months with the possibility of extension). A permanent role will be negotiable for the right candidate. In this handson role, you''ll play a vital part in maintaining site safety standards, conducting inspections, delivering inductions, and proactively managing risks and incidents. Key Responsibilities Assist the Site Supervisor in managing daily HSEQ requirements Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, and ensure corrective actions are implemented Manage site permits, contractor onboarding, and review SWMS and SDS submissions using 1Breadcrumb and Procore Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions Be the central point of contact and communicate with the site team, contractors, and leadership on safety matters Facilitate and oversee sitespecific inductions, ensuring proper worker onboarding and compliance with training requirements through 1Breadcrumb Maintain site HSEQ records and documentation, ensuring alignment with SBP Australia and client safety management plans Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSEQ capabilities Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 - 5 years'' experience in an HSEQ role within construction, with a strong focus on WHS Strong knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Codes of Practice, and industry standards Excellent communication skills with confidence in engaging with site teams Experience and confidence using site management platforms such as Procore and 1Breadcrumb WHS qualifications such as Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher) Essential: First Aid Certificate, General Construction Industry Card Preferred: Relevant HighRisk Licences (e.g., work at heights, forklift, scissor lift, elevated work platform, confined spaces) About You Were looking for someone with: A proactive and positive approach to HSEQ Comfortable working onsite, collaborating with team members, contractors, and interacting with stakeholders Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and assess risks and resolve HSEQ challenges onsite A passion for ensuring the wellbeing of teams and maintaining high safety and quality standards At SBP Australia, we invest in our people for the long term.
