We currently have an opportunity for a Full time Grounds and Waste Attendant. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in providing a range of cleaning service in order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas. Reporting to the Cleaning Manager you''ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. The position is in Parkville and we are looking for someone that can work Monday to Friday 7am 3pm. What Youll Do (key responsibilities) This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Day to day cleaning of gardens, balconies, courtyards, and paved areas to ensure removal of debris/litter/rubbish including reactive work orders, as requested. Assist gardeners with moving plants, leaves, equipment and rubbish, when necessary Report faults and damage to equipment and grounds, including potholes and cracks to supervisor Regular inspections of the loading dock compactus area to ensure free from loose litter, debris and spillages Remove and replace secure waste bins for Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) Empty and wash waste bins for tenants Ensure all records are maintained or updated as required What Youll Bring Experience in a similar role preferred but no required Knowledge of Work Health Safety practices. Ability to undertake relevant garden and waste management duties Ability to assist with the planning of preventative maintenance schedules Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills to undertake record keeping More than anything, youll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
