We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join the Underground Mining team at our Mount Charlotte Operation. The newly developed 8/6 12hour a day role is part of a department expansion to design and deliver upon the strategic growth trajectory of the site. Offered residentially, this role will reap the benefit of being no more than 10 minutes from your front door in Kalgoorlie with the majority of the team extracting the best worklife balance, living, and working in the heart of the Goldfields. For the right applicant FIFO from Perth will be considered. What you can look forward to: Direct responsibility for supervision of Mine Planning Engineers and provide them with leadership, mentorship, training, and development opportunities. Design, optimise and provide cost analysis for underground mine plans, from longterm multilevel designs to individual level and stope mining plans, from mining method to equipment selection, maximising safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Prepare and deliver quarterly mining schedules to the production team. Prepare and deliver FY budget and H2 Mining physicals and associated executive level presentations and evaluations. Collaborate with department seniors for optimisation and execution plan of bringing longterm designs into the budget year execution period. Contribute to the underground team to deliver monthly, 3monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts. Coordinate and manage capital works mining contractors i.e. raise bore, escape way, infrastructure installations. Assist longterm planning with ore reserve preparations in accordance with JORC code definitions and life of asset mine design generation. Identify & implement opportunities to optimise mining processes and provide business improvement strategies. To thrive in this role, you''ll bring. Expertise & Accomplishments: Advanced skills and user of Deswik packages (Scheduler, CAD, SO). Practical experience on narrow vein and largescale open stoping and sublevel caving or similar experience. Experience in coordinating a team in large scale underground mining operations, including remnant mining and new discovery mining areas. Strong collaboration skills and techniques to coordinate mining activity across multiple mining areas through different time periods of the business needs. Previous experience with financial modelling/costing. Ability to influence, communicate risks, realistic plans and delivering compelling presentations. Qualifications Bachelors degree in mining engineering. +7 years experience in underground mining operations. +2 years in UG Mine Planning roles. WA First Class Mine Manager''s Certificate of Competency (desirable). Unrestricted C Class drivers licence.
