APO has been contracted by North Queensland Export Terminal Pty Ltd to manage operations of its coal export terminal at the Port of Abbot PointAustralias northernmost coal portlocated 25 kilometres north of Bowen, between Townsville and Mackay, serving as the gateway to the Whitsundays. At Abbot Point Operations, we continue to invest in the future of our terminal through an ongoing program of maintenance and capital works. Our terminal plays a vital role in Australias export network and were committed to keeping it operating safely, efficiently, and sustainably for the long term. Were currently have an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Project Supervisor to join our Project Delivery team. In this handson role, youll take the lead in delivering capital projects on site, making sure everything runs smoothly, safely and in line with our approved annual and fiveyear capital plans. What Youll Do: Drive a highperforming safety culture through active stakeholder engagement and visible leadership. Lead by example, promoting positive behaviours and fostering collaboration across teams. Manage the safe and efficient execution of multiple projects across diverse work areas (Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, or Marine). Maintain and review quality documentation and ensure adherence to Australian and international standards. Support innovation and implement practical solutions to enhance project performance. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors. What Were Looking For: Minimum 5 years experience supervising capital works in heavy industry, ideally including Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and or Marine projects. A relevant trade qualification or Diploma in Project Management. Strong working knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and codes with a solid understanding of Workplace Health and Safety legislation. Proven problemsolving and criticalthinking capability in dynamic environments. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Construction White Card. Why Join Us?
