Are you a media, comms or marketing graduate with a passion for social media and an interest in news and current affairs? Are you interested in joining Australias leading news organisation? The Opportunity Were looking for a driven Social Media Coordinator to join our 7NEWS team on the Sunshine Coast and help shape the future of regional storytelling across Australias leading news network. Youll be based in our Maroochydore and will work closely with local newsrooms, the Digital Engagement Manager (Brisbane), the Regional QLD News Director and the National Social Media Lead to produce and manage engaging content that supports the regional Queensland news agenda. What youll do: Drive content publishing across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube, in collaboration with key newsroom and social media leaders. Create tailored, socialfirst content with newsroom teams. Manage and moderate social media commentary, audience engagement, and track and report on how posts perform. Craft engaging written and visual content, schedule posts, and follow editorial guidelines and standards. Support staff onboarding and assist with adhoc duties. What youll bring: Youre a creative, organised, and digitally savvy individual who thrives in a fastpaced environment. Youll also bring: A Bachelors degree in Media, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related subject 12 years experience in social media content creation A strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for content, news & current affairs Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines A confident communicator with a collaborative mindset, and a drive to deliver highquality work Familiarity with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Quantel, or Viz Story (preferred but not essential) Life at Seven At Seven, we connect with more than 17 million Australians every month and were proud to be one of the most recognised and trusted media brands in the country.
