Direct Intervention: Work closely with practitioners and housing providers to proactively support young people facing tenancy challenges. Build Strong Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain crucial relationships with landlords, real estate agents, and other support services to increase housing opportunities for program participants. Individualised Tenancy Support Plans: Collaborate with practitioners to create personalised tenancy support goals for each young person, ensuring their Housing First Support Plan addresses individual needs and risks. Increase Housing Stability: Contribute significantly to the success of the Youth Housing First program by helping young people achieve and maintain long-term stable housing. The Ideal Candidate Deep Expertise in Youth Homelessness & Out-of-Home Care: An in-depth knowledge of the unique challenges and support needs of young people experiencing homelessness, particularly those transitioning from out-of-home care. This includes an understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and service providers within these sectors. Housing Market Proficiency & Housing First Approach: Proven ability to navigate the housing market effectively, with strong relationships within the housing sector. This includes a deep understanding of the private rental market, social housing processes, and a thorough grasp of the Housing First model and its core principles, including tenancy sustainment practices. Strong Interpersonal & Collaborative Skills: Effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who understands the importance of collaboration, communication, and shared goals in achieving successful outcomes for young people within a multi-organisational team environment.
