Together we can do more. The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of compassionate and professional nursing care to all patients. The Enrolled Nurse is the patient/client''s advocate and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District consistent with the LHD''s policies, procedures and standards. The Enrolled Nurse works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for their personal actions whilst remaining accountable to the registered Nurse for delegated functions. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Childrens Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre and sub-acute Mental Health Unit.
