A Competitive Salary About the Role Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of Costas Mechanical Workshop function. Lead the planning, implementation, and delivery of all workshop and fleet strategies, ensuring optimum utilisation of plant and equipment. Prepare and apply planned maintenance schedules, incorporating best practice and manufacturer recommendations. Develop and improve quality control procedures to ensure compliance with legislative and safety requirements. Lead, manage, and train a diverse team, including apprentices and trainees. Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure best value outcomes. Provide technical advice and reports to managers on workshop operations and fleet management. Ensure all fleet and workshop activities comply with Queensland Transport and National Heavy Vehicle regulations. What Were Looking For Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanic/Fitter. Minimum 5 years experience maintaining heavy plant and equipment. At least 3 years experience supervising and managing a heavy plant workshop. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Proven ability to motivate, train, and develop a team. Sound knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the vehicle industry. Current Queensland HR class drivers licence. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite. Ability to travel locally within the region. Have full and ongoing work rights in Australia.
