About the Opportunity The Program Coordinator is a district-wide role responsible for overseeing the Statewide Infant Hearing Screening (SWISH) and Statewide Eyesight Preschooler Screening (StEPS) programs. This position ensures screening staff are well supported, trained in the use of equipment, and competent in conducting screenings in line with program guidelines and performance targets. The Program Coordinator also coordinates referrals for infants who do not pass screening to diagnostic audiology services, providing education and support to families throughout the screening and diagnostic journey. In addition, the role provides coverage during periods of Screener leave and offers program guidance and clinical support to the line managers of SWISH and StEPS staff. As the Program Coordinator, you will: Co-ordinate, supervise and work as a member of the district SWISH and StEPS screening teams Establish, co-ordinate and closely monitor outreach clinics across the district Monitor and maintain screening performance indicators of the SWISH and StEPS programs Manage program data and reporting, including tracking, database maintenance, and performance reports for the District and Ministry of Health. Train, support and maintain competency standards of screening staff while efficiently managing program budgets and resources across the district. Build strong partnerships and act as a key resource for families and health professionals.
