Permanent, part time position (45.6 hours per fortnight)based in Launceston Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation providing a widerange of community services to the people of Tasmania. We provide programs relating to ageing and disability,health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and supportand more. About the role: This position provides professional and exceptional communitysupport services to clientele accessing Health and Wellbeing Gamblers Help services provided by Anglicare in line withAnglicares Practice Principles and Framework ofPractice. The Gamblers Help Counselling service is a free, confidentialservice for people affected by gambling. The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas: An understanding of the processes people utilise toovercome adversity/distress arising from life challenges; An ability to recognise and understand peoplesintrinsic resourcefulness; Provide support in a manner consistent withAnglicares values and practice principles; Demonstrate high level of communication and interpersonalskills with people who access our services, family/carers,colleagues, other service providers and stakeholders; Ability to accurately document and maintain records; Demonstrated experience with relevant information andcommunication technologies; Ability to work autonomously within organisational policyand procedures; A high level of professionalism and a willingness todevelop and reflect on professional practice; Relevant degree level qualifications (Social Work,Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health) or essentially requiredaccreditation from a recognised institution.
