Job Description

As the Emergency Administration Officer, you will provide administrative support within QCH Emergency and the Emergency Short Term Treatment Area to ensure high levels of, and a focus on, family centred care. About The Team Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We care for approximately 70,000 children and young people every year, treating a range of conditions, from acute injuries and illnesses to lifethreatening conditions. About The Role In this role you will utilise CHQ''s resources to maximise the positive impact we have for children, young people and families (Leader of Function) in accordance with the Children''s Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include: Provide superior customer service to presenting patients, family members, members of the public, police and ambulance by responding to general enquiries promptly and courteously; answering incoming telephone calls; and ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information occurs to support patients and staff. Consult with patients to obtain correct details for completion of patient registrations and admissions; and record information accurately into the hospital information systems.
