The Team Launceston Community Nursing Service (LCNS) delivers community nursing across Launceston and surrounding areas, supporting client independence and reducing hospital stays. Services include wound management, palliative care, catheter and stoma education, medication management, and more, provided from a community clinic and home visits. LCNS operates 08002130 every day, including public holidays and weekends. The Role The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) promotes and supports safe, personcentred nursing care through education, training and clinical development for Primary Health North registered nurses and health care assistants. The CNE ensures alignment with Aged Care Quality Standards and drives continuous improvement, professional excellence, and patient safety across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, implement and evaluate nursing education programs and activities, including core and mandatory programs. Facilitate ongoing professional development within a learning and research culture, promoting interprofessional learning. Maintain records in accordance with organisational policy and program requirements. Consult and liaise with site or service managers to provide educational support and evaluate staff performance development plans. Qualifications and Experience Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Current drivers licence. Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desired). Experience in nurse education, workforce development, or a related role. Appointment Details Permanent parttime day worker, up to 40 hours fortnightly, commencing 11 January 2026. Hours are negotiable. Salary $114,851$121,886 per annum (prorata), plus 12% superannuation. Salary range is consistent with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
