The Executive Manager supports the Geographe Catchment Council Board and staff, and is responsible for driving the corporate, strategic, fundraising, stakeholder relations, communications, governance, reporting, and office tasks required to enable the efficient operation of the organisation. The Executive Manager reports to the Chair of the Board.The Executive Manager will develop and maintain strong relationships, collaborations, and networks with key strategic community partners whilst providing inspirational leadership of the organisation.As Executive Manager, you will be responsible for:Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing long-term business strategies aligned with our mission and values and ensuring high standards of governance, accountability, work health and safety, and legal compliance. This includes coordinating Board meetings and providing the Board with strategic reports and facilitating strong communication between staff and board members.Funding and Partnerships: Leading fundraising efforts, securing grants, and cultivating partnerships with government, philanthropic, and corporate stakeholders; contributing to developing and implementing a sustainable business model and funding strategy.Operational Oversight: Leading and mentoring a small but passionate team of staff to implement key programs and projects including day-to-day operations, financial management, reporting, and compliance, to ensure organisational effectiveness.Community Engagement: Representing the organisation in public forums, building strategic relationships with community members, and fostering a culture of participation and transparency. This includes overseeing and managing communications including strategic communications, stakeholder relationship management, marketing, and media.Essential Skills and ExperienceProven experience in executive leadership, preferably in the not-for-profit or environmental sector, including success working with a Board implementing corporate governance, statutory and contractual reporting practice, and achieving financial sustainability for the organisation.Strong track record in fundraising, financial and business management with the development and implementation of strategies to support organisational stability and growth.Sound understanding of the use of technologies, social media and brand development to maximise the impact of the organisation.Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, networking and project management skills.Ability to inspire, lead and manage a diverse team through periods of change, towards a common goal.Passionate about environmental sustainability and community-led change.An understanding of the unique environmental, economic, and social values of the southwest region, including First Nations culture and histories.Established networks and connections within the South West.Opportunity to lead a respected organisation making a real difference.Flexible working arrangements tailored to the successful applicant, based in the globally recognised, biodiversity hotspot of the South West of WA.Supportive and values-driven team culture of like-minded, passionate individuals.About UsGeographe Catchment Council Inc (GeoCatch) is a dedicated community-based, not-for-profit organisation committed to enhancing the environmental health and sustainability of the Geographe Catchment area in south-west Western Australia.
