Are you a motivated Theatre Orderly Team Leader with excellent clinical skills? About the role Brisbane Private Hospital currently has 2 positions available for experienced Theatre Orderly Team Leaders to join our established team. We have 1 full time permanent position and 1 full time, fixed term position available for 6months. Both roles involve working across a rotating roster involving AM and PM shifts. As a Team Leader, you will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre and CSSD whilst practising excellent customer service and maintaining the high operational standards within the perioperative area. You will report to the Theatre NUM and work closely with a friendly, professional team. Responsibilities Lead the team to achieve tasks in a timely manner. Ensure the standards of infection control are followed at all times. Roster and allocate team members. Transport patients to and from the perioperative suite and assist within the operating theatre as delegated by the nursing team. Assist with patient manual handling and ensure patient trolleys/beds are available in recovery in a timely manner. Undertake cleaning of the operating theatre between cases as per facility protocols. Restock and unpack as delegated and remove waste from the perioperative suite. Manage equipment and maintain knowledge of supplies and operating procedures. About us Brisbane Private is a 181bed acute and rehabilitation hospital with 17 operating theatres conveniently located above the Roma Street Parklands. Specialties include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, spinal, plastics, urology, ENT, rehabilitation and general surgery, and delivery of Brisbanes leading private drug and alcohol programmes from Damascus Health Services. Essential Criteria Minimum 2years experience working in a hospital as an Orderly. Ability to work morning, afternoon, late, weekend and oncall shifts. Demonstrated knowledge of the theatre environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases. Interest in promoting best practice patient care. Focus on professional development. Ability to work independently and within a team. Ability to prioritise jobs and work to timelines. Ability to anticipate perioperative unit nonclinical needs and respond accordingly. Why Healthscope?
