An opportunity exists for a proactive and energetic Health & Safety Business Partner to join our national Health and Safety team, supporting our Tasmanian and South Australian Concrete & Quarries business. Reporting to a Business Unit General Manager and Head of Business Partnering Health & Safety, your primary focus is to support our TAS & SA Concrete & Quarries Business ensuring that business unit level issues are understood, controls are implemented and compliance and assurance measures reviewed. Working closely with the frontline, this is a key role in delivering strong alignment between operational risks and health and safety controls and will enable safety improvements and standardisation of processes across our network of concrete plants and quarries in Tasmania and South Australia. Operating as a true business partner, you will relish the opportunity to travel to a range of concrete plants and quarries on a regular basis to engage with leaders and employees on site and really understand their challenges, creating learning opportunities from issues and incidents to enable them to perform more effectively. A central part of this role is to build an intimate understanding of our operations and forge strong and lasting relationships with stakeholders so as to deliver positive safety outcomes. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity and candidates must have the flexibility to travel to various sites across TAS and SA. To support in this, you will be provided with a motor vehicle allowance. Duties and responsibilities for the role include: Constructively working with and supporting operational leaders on risk managementBuilding operational teams health and safety capacity by providing specialist health and safety advice, support and coachingSupporting the roll out and implementation of the Boral Health & Safety Strategy and Business Unit PlanFacilitation and management of incident response and subsequent analysis and learningsSupporting the operations in appropriate preparation, management and response to HSE Regulatory Compliance inspections, audits, statutory reports and prescribed incident notificationsFacilitating the implementation of the HSEQ Management System & National ProgramsEnsure Assurance Audits are completed in line with the Audit and Assurance Program and monitor closeout of WHS actions What are we looking for? A positive and proactive approach with a willingness and commitment to partnering with and supporting operational teamsProven experience in a similar role, ideally with strong skills in incident investigations and facilitating learnings from incidentsProven experience in a similar role within a high-risk environment & implementing successful organisational change within complex environmentsKnowledge of WHS regulations, systems, processes and Information SystemsCert IV or Diploma in Work Health & SafetySuperior interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and communication skills with a natural ability to build solid relationships Whats on Offer?
