Senior level Pharmacist required for this remote Northern Territory hospital. Join our team who love this service and the iconic location. Start date of 10th September for six weeks + possible extension.Further Details BelowWhat systems are in use in the pharmacyMerlin Dispensing Software, MOSAIQ.What areas of the hospital will work in wards etcMainly in dispensary but services extend across the hospital in the Paediatric, Oncology, Medical and Emergency Department units.Team Size/Team structureOne Pharmacy Manager, one Clinical Pharmacist and two Pharmacy Assistants.Hours of work per day8am to 4:21pm.Is the role Monday to Friday onlyYes.What Will Their Main Duties BeDispensary Management: Oversee supply, PBS compliance, and system processes.Clinical Services: Deliver medication advice and reviews across wards (e.g. renal, oncology, paediatrics, emergency).Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage clinical pharmacist and technicians.Education: Provide training to pharmacy staff and education to nursing/medical staff.Quality & Safety: Drive audits, reporting, medication safety and service improvements.Strategic Input: Represent the pharmacy in meetings, forums and hospital-wide initiatives.Are there any specialised areas of pharmacy (e.g., oncology, paediatrics, critical care) that the locum pharmacist will need to be experienced in?Oncology, Haematology, Paediatrics, Renal, Vaccines, all types of outpatient specialist clinics.What is the expected level of involvement with clinical consultations and patient care?Direct involvement with consultants in general medicine, emergency, obstetrics, nephrology and surgical services.Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Advising on complex regimes and medication safety.Will the locum be required to supervise or mentor junior staff or pharmacy technicians?Yes, daily supervision, delegation of tasks, coaching junior staff.Will the locum pharmacist be expected to interact with patients directly or primarily with healthcare teams?Direct engagement with patients for counselling and education.Close collaboration with doctors, nurses, and allied health staff.Any other information that is useful for us to share?Applicants must be capable of working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and be flexible in managing competing demands, shifting priorities and shared responsibilities across clinical and dispensary services.Accommodation And TravelReturn Travel: Reimbursement is available for return travel, capped at up to $1,200.Accommodation: On-site or off-site accommodation may be available, though availability varies throughout the year.Vehicle Access: The Hospital maintains a pool of vehicles that staff can book for personal errands.Locum rates up to $85 + superannuation.This region is a nature lover''s paradise, with gorges and misty waterfalls, thermal springs and ancient cultures.To apply for this role or to enquire about our other vacancies, please contact Rachael Allied Health Division Lead at CC Medical on 0452 189 556 or email [email protected]. #J-18808-Ljbffr
