About us Based at our Darnum site in the heart of Victorias dairy country, West Gippsland, youll be joining one of Australias largest and most advanced dairy manufacturing facilities. Our Darnum site produces world-class nutritional, skim, and whole milk powders for global markets. With recent upgrades in technology, safety, and production capacity, its an exciting time to become part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and career development. About the role As our next Maintenance Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to gain skills and become qualified in a specialised profession through fantastic hands-on training. For your first and second years, you will learn the components of mechanical items while you help and support fitters and electricians with their jobs. As you gain more confidence into your third and fourth years, you will get more involved in maintenance activities and learn to address breakdowns. You will develop skills and knowledge in a specialised profession through formal and on-the-job training within our site services team. You will be mentored and supervised by worldclass tradespeople for the duration of your time Your hours of work will be 7 am to 3:30 pm for your on-site days, with flexible changes to days you attend TAFE. About You You must be committed to a fouryear apprenticeship and have the following ideal skills and experience: Achieved a minimum of Year 10 education, demonstrating a commitment to academic development. Attained strong grades in Mathematics and English Basic mechanical aptitude is an advantage, showcasing an ability to understand and engage with technical systems. Excellent communication skills complemented by a positive, cando attitude and a collaborative, teamoriented work ethic. Proficient in basic computer skills, facilitating effective information management and communication. Completion of preapprenticeship training or work placement is advantageous, providing a foundational understanding of industry practices. Previous work experience that equips you with essential skills and insights applicable to this role.
