We also offer a popular mobile library service. We provide a wide range of services, including borrowing services, digital library, study support, technology workshops, and multicultural, children and youth services. About the opportunity We are seeking a passionate and experienced Librarian to join our Community Learning team on a permanent, part-time basis. This role supports delivery of high-quality information services that promote lifelong learning and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate, up-to-date information tailored to customer needs. Design and deliver engaging library programs. Collaborate effectively within a supportive team environment. Leverage current technologies to enhance service delivery. Champion innovation and excellence in customer service. Qualifications and Experience Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent recognized by ALIA; eligible for ALIA membership. Suitable library experience and strong commitment to customer-focused service. Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Proficient use of online and electronic resources including databases. Experience in initiating, planning, delivering, and evaluating programs, including training. Current Class C drivers licence. Working With Children Check (WWCC). Training skills and experience. First aid certification. Ability to speak a relevant community language. Remuneration and Benefits Salary and conditions are in accordance with Blacktown City Councils Enterprise Agreement. Entry level: $1,563.45 per week, prorata.
