Salary: Level 2/3, $34.87 - $39.37 per hour (EA (Gov) GA 2025) Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time We are seeking to establish a pool of enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly effective Special Needs Education Assistants (EAs) for permanent and fixed term, fulltime and parttime vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The Role We are seeking Special Needs Education Assistants that enjoy being part of a team, showing commitment in making a positive impact in students lives. The ideal applicants should be flexible and collaborative to work alongside teachers, leadership members and peers to support a strong learning culture. In addition, it is highly desirable that suitable applicants are reflective and open to feedback, coaching and continuous growth. Responsibilities Support the implementation of individual and smallgroup learning plans, including modelling, prompting, and guided practice. Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of resources and the learning environment. Assist with the care, supervision, and wellbeing of students during class, play, and excursions. Supporting students with physical, social, emotional and behavioural needs. Assisting with personal care routines and therapy programmes where required. Good organisational skills that support the delivery and development of effective educational programmes and feedback to teaching professionals or psychologists. Ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programmes, including special education and, if required, occupational and/or physiotherapy programmes. Knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents. Ability to assist with general health and wellbeing of students.
