Position Overview As a casual Residential Youth Worker with Edmen, you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people who are living in outofhome care. Working with some of Australias best youth service providers, every day grants you a unique experience and adventure, empowering children and young people to live their best lives in a nurturing and safe environment. Shift times (these may vary): AM: 0800 1600 PM: 1600 2200 + Sleepover + 0600 0800 Our rosters are done in advance, which grants you some stability working in a casual environment. We also have emergency and adhoc shifts available each week. Key Duties and Responsibilities Create a Safe and Supportive Home: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for atrisk youth. Empower Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence. Facilitate Transportation: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities. Promote Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community. Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting. To qualify, you must be willing to enrol or currently be enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field. About You Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher) Working rights in Australia The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required Experience in Disability Support, Aged Care, Corrections or Social Work, OR; transferable skills from personal background or exposure in one of these industries.
