Volunteers fieldwork fairy-wrens Western-Australia We are looking for volunteers to help monitor a population of redwinged fairywrens near Manjimup, southwest WA as part of ongoing research on behavioural adaptation to environmental change. The study is based at Smithbrook Nature Reserve in one of the 35 biodiversity hotspots of the world. Period: November to January Duties include monitoring colourbanded birds, nest searching and mist netting. Ideally volunteers have previous experience in monitoring and/or banding. Volunteers must be physically fit as working days are long, start early and consist of lots of hiking through dense Karri forest. Onsite accommodation is provided.
