About The Role We are looking for an experienced Disability Support Worker with knowledge and understanding around complex behaviours in young people. This role will focus on supporting our clients emotionally, socially and physically. You will work collaboratively with the operations team to deliver highquality support, assisting service users in maintaining their wellbeing, achieving personal goals, and developing life skills while fostering community and social connections. The responsibilities include providing personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance, as well as offering domestic support with cleaning, laundry and meal preparation. You will also provide social support and transportation for activities, shopping and appointments, assist with the use of mobility and personal equipment, and support individuals with complex or challenging needs. Shifts mainly run between 2pm and 10pm, with occasional 8am to 2pm slots. Candidates should be reasonably available for these times. Qualifications / Requirements Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability, or equivalent. Minimum 12 years experience in disability support work. Experience within residential care for youth is desirable. Demonstrated experience with challenging and complex behaviours. Current Blue Card and Yellow Card. NDIS Worker Orientation Module completed. Current Australian drivers licence, registration and comprehensive insurance. Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain. Willingness to provide the required licences, certifications and elearning prior to commencement.
