Great organisational culture and supportive team environmentComlink Australia recognises, values and invests in youWork flexibly (we do our best to accommodate your individual needs)Salary packaging opportunitiesPaid Parental Leave (for eligible employees)Employee Assistance Program to help support you through lifes challengesPaid training and continuous learning and development opportunitiesWe have created a culture of collaboration, where our table is roundAbout the roleWe are seeking a Personal Care Assistant who are committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of in-home care for our valued clients.What will this look like on a day-to-day basis?You will be:Providing consumer directed care services to clients as prescribed in the client''s care planAssisting clients with mobility and transfers, along with other ADL activities to help maintain an independent lifestyleAssisting clients with general domestic dutiesActively participating in care plan development to ensure the clients ever changing needs are being metRecognising and responding to change in a client''s condition, as well as documenting and communicating this information as requiredEnsuring clients are treated with dignity and respect and supported to exercise choice and independenceOther things you might like to knowCandidate must have availability from 7am weekdays, and be willing to work weekendsYou will be required to use your private vehicle for work purposes, with a kilometre-reimbursement offered; andPaid compliance checks included i.e. NDIS Worker Screening.Office location is NarangbaThis position is best suited to someone who has:Minimum Certificate III qualification i.e. Individual Support, Aged Care, Community ServicesPreferably 12 months experience working in the Home Care sector, particularly with Home Care Packages and CHSP funded care servicesWillingness to embrace domestic care duties as part of their roleGenuine empathy with elderly clients and a passion to work within the community service industryUnderstanding of specialised service delivery within diverse groups, specifically Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, CALD, Veterans, Disability, Mental Health, LGBTI+ and HomelessnessHow to applyBe creative, fun, and real in your cover letter.
