What You Will Be Doing As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will collect blood and coordinate specimen samples from patients, using your empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare. Your Key Responsibilities Collecting samples (blood and nonblood) with care and attention. Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample. Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times. Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing. Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers. What Type of Person Will Be Successful We expect behaviours such as Customer Focused, Accountable, Collaborative, Credible and Resourceful. Success is based on experience, or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection, or a background in healthcare. Registered nurses seeking regular daytime shifts are also welcome. No experience in Pathology Collection but you have a customerservice focus and a background in healthcare? Attributes & Skills You Will Bring Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy, Certificate III in Pathology Collection, or a healthcare background. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with high empathy. Organised, with strong time management and attention to detail. Ability to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic. Valid Drivers licence and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics. Working with Childrens Check or willingness to obtain one. Austalian citizen, permanent resident, NewZealand citizen, or eligible visa holder. HepatitisB vaccination evidence a requirement for this role. Other vaccinations required based on location.
