About the Role Closing Date: 06/11/2025 AWH Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is seeking a passionate and experienced mental health nurse to join the service-wide Clozapine Coordinator team. This unique opportunity allows you to deliver highquality, personcentred care to people within our clozapine monitoring program. Ensure all clinical monitoring is carried out within appropriate time frames. Provide training and support for Clozapineprescribing GPs. Oversee the physical health needs of consumers, including metabolic monitoring and early identification of physical health issues. Plan, deliver and evaluate comprehensive evidencebased physical health assessments and refer to primary health care services and communitybased healthy lifestyle programs. Directly provide service to consumers in the Shared Care Program and their carers. Essential Requirements Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and holding approved postgraduate qualifications in psychiatric nursing or equivalent experience. Knowledge of the clinical risks associated with Clozapine therapy and the relevant protocols and monitoring requirements. Demonstrated expertise in physical health assessment, metabolic monitoring, therapeutic intervention planning, and outcome evaluation. Ability to work with consumers, families and carers from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing gendersensitive services. Employment Type: Permanent, fulltime opportunity.
