The Team Rapid Response is part of AVs approach to the Department of Families, Fairness & Housings (DFFH) state-wide initiative to support Family Preservation & Reunification (FPR). The Rapid Response team complements the suite of family supports provided within the FPR model. SCHADS Level 6, FTE fixed to date, parental leave backfill to 8th January 2027, based at Morwell office. Provide tailored support based on the needs of children and families. Be supported to learn and work in an evidence-based model. Role Requirements To be successful in this position you will need: A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Specialist and/or related behavioural sciences at degree level with relevant experience; or diploma level with substantial experience. Working with highneeds complex families. Using a childfocused familycentred approach and parenting educational programmes. Working within a casework framework. Utilising culturally sensitive practice with marginalised and minority groups. Knowledge of child welfare services. Understanding theoretical approaches (e.g., motivational interviewing and social inclusion). Strong skills in stakeholder collaboration. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage timeframes. Experience conducting risk and needs assessments. Ability to perform work outside of standard office hours to service the needs of clients. A current Victorian drivers licence and Working with Children Check and be prepared to undergo Criminal History Check(s) prior to commencement.
