SKILLS The role requires you to hold at least 1-year of relevant work experience. RESPONSIBILITIES As a Fruit Farm Worker your role is to perform routine tasks as directed to assist in the cultivation of banana and avocado crops. DUTIES Meeting with farm management to receive assigned duties. Collecting and preparing equipment for daily use. Transporting harvested fruit to the packing shed. Hanging, dehanding and washing bananas. Clustering, grading, sorting and packing bananas. Sorting, grading and packing fruit. Weighing, stacking, strapping and labelling produce for storage and distribution. Maintenance and repair of irrigation lines and sprinklers. Operating farm equipment and machinery to complete tasks such as slashing, application of fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides. Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining equipment and machinery. Use appropriate personal protective equipment for handling and mixing chemicals. Reporting completed tasks to the farm management. Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business. SALARY The salary offered will be $65,000 to $75,000 per annum negotiated based on your experience.
